Going Solar: The Kautapen Group’s Commitment to a Sustainable Future

At The Kautapen Group, we believe that providing world-class hunting and fishing experiences goes hand in hand with leading efforts in sustainability. As part of this commitment, we are proud to announce that we have started transitioning our lodges to renewable energy, beginning with the installation and activation of solar panels at several of our lodges: La Dormida, Pica Zuro, and Córdoba Lodge (all in Córdoba, Argentina), El Tobar Camp (Tucumán, Argentina), Kau Tapen Lodge (Tierra del Fuego, Argentina), Delta Lodge (Buenos Aires, Argentina), and Abaco Lodge (Bahamas). These lodges are now benefiting from clean, sustainable energy, helping to reduce our carbon footprint while maintaining the high level of service our guests expect.

A Vision of Change

The Kautapen Group, in partnership with Qualia Eyewear and volunteer medical staff, has launched an initiative in Córdoba to recycle used shotgun shells into prescription eyewear for children in need. After examining several hundred children, 162 received glasses in their choice of twelve frame styles. This project aims to enhance the quality of life for local children and promote environmental and social responsibility. We plan to expand this initiative and offer a line of polarized sunglasses to our clients, with profits supporting ongoing efforts to provide more eyeglasses.

Introducing Conservation Weeks

David Denies core mission has always revolved around conservation. Since our founding, we’ve remained committed to preserving our natural resources and the communities connected to our operations. Over time, we’ve backed various charitable causes and local communities, laying the groundwork for a sustainable future. Our goal is to make the most of every conservation investment, fostering sustainable development within these communities and securing our hunting areas for future generations.

New Shotgun Shell Recycling Program

If you have followed our company for long you may know that our first order of business is to provide great hunting and shooting to our wonderful clients and make every trip the adventure of a lifetime. But you may not know that one of the tenets of our business is to give back to the communities in which we operate.

For years now we have been very active in the Córdoba region with community centers and food kitchens, where we deliver food to the needy each day. In addition, we have provided a mobile medical clinic for the underprivileged of Córdoba.
