A Life-Changing Journey: Witnessing the Impact of David Denies’ Support on Local Communities

At David Denies, we believe in the power of community and the profound impact it can have on shaping the lives of individuals, especially children. Our commitment to creating positive change and supporting local communities has led us to collaborate with various villages in the San Marcos Sierras region. We are thrilled to share a remarkable testimony from Mary McCall Leland, a Fulbright ETA Scholar who recently had the opportunity to visit our community centers and witness the transformative work being done.

As the old proverb goes, “It takes a village to raise a child.” During my time in San Marcos Sierras, I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand how David Denies is providing financial support to several villages, enabling them to raise their children with proper nutrition, love, and access to healthcare.

I recently had the opportunity to spend a day playing with the children who directly benefit from the warm meals provided at the community centers. I also had the chance to check in on the incredible women who consistently volunteer their time and energy to maintain these community centers, and I had the pleasure of fellowshipping with Hermana Theresa, the founder of the María de la Esperanza Mission.

Through my experiences, I learned that the community centers that play a crucial role in raising the local children would not be sustainable without the dedication and financial commitment of the David Denies team.

I strongly encourage anyone interested in volunteering or witnessing this impactful work firsthand to make the time to visit. It is truly a life-changing experience. Being a part of this effort to create positive change in the world was a privilege, and I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to volunteer alongside such inspiring individuals.

In conclusion, Mary’s journey through our community centers beautifully demonstrates the power of collective action and the transformative impact of our partnership. We are dedicated to supporting local villages, uplifting communities, and providing children with love and care, all thanks to the amazing volunteers involved. We are immensely grateful to Mary for sharing her experiences and becoming an advocate for the inspiring work happening in the Córdoba region. Her journey reminds us that each of us has the power to make a difference, and together, we can create a brighter future for the next generation.

We warmly invite you to join us in our mission to support and empower communities. Whether you choose to volunteer, spread awareness, or contribute in any way, together we can create a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
